Biological Safety Cabinets
Air Science USA’s new line of biological safety cabinets—the
Purair BIO—is designed to protect individuals, the environment
and products from biological particulates. As a Class II Type A2
biosafety cabinet, the Purair BIO minimizes and contains BSL-1
to BSL- 3 agents, maintaining negative pressure inside the cabinet during operation to prevent contaminants from escaping the
workarea. HEPA filtration scours 70% of the incoming room air to
protect the products, while the remaining 30% of the exhausted air
is filtered by a second HEPA filter.

IDV provides an effec-

Lab Balance
Sartorius’ Entris analytical and precision
balance is available in 15 models, covering a
weighing capacity from 60 to 8,200 g with a
readability of 0.1 mg to 0.1 g. The balances
feature a monolithic weighing system featuring
external adjustment or an internal, motorized

Chilled Beam Control Valve
TROX USA now offers an integrated RN
control valve with its active chilled beams, providing added benefits for constant-volume lab
spaces. The circular RN volume flow controller
is field adjustable, requires no tools and uses
no external power, saving energy and reducing
system maintenance. The pressure-independent
control valve regulates airflow through the valve
with varying duct static pressure. With high
control accuracy, the RN controller is suited
for integration with chilled beams. The RN can
also be provided with an actuator option to
vary airflow based on remote temperatures.
