;CO ARCHITECTS PLACES FIRST IN INTERNATIONAL
Los Angeles-based CO Architects was recently awarded
first place in the World Architecture News (WAN) Façade
Award for the Health Sciences Education Building (HSEB),
an inter-institutional facility in Phoenix, Ariz. The WAN
Façade Award recognizes projects using the latest design
techniques to push building exteriors into new and exciting realms. This is the latest of 14 awards won for the
268,000-sf building, for which CO Architects was the
design architect with Ayers Saint Gross as the associate
architect and master planner. In a joint venture, DPR Construction and Sundt Construction Inc., were the contractors. Judges were “seduced” by the recycled copper paneling, and were impressed by the iterative design development involving a range of modeling media. The judges also
admired the HSEB’s aesthetic response to its context.

Your work. Your cultures. Your way.
Optimal is never a
It’s contextual. It’s driven by
the research or the cell line.

it should be driven by you.
Providing optimal conditions means
you control the particular environment
where your specific cells will thrive,
